Seminar and Workshop on Liquid Based Cytology was held on 9th December 2000 at the Prince of Wales Hospital. Over 120 members attended the seminar and more than 90 registered for the workshop. Dr May Chan spoke on the challenges of cytology in the new millennium and introduced the speakers. Dr Pang Siu Wah spoke on "Morphologic Appraisals" and Ms Anita Ng talked about "Operational issues and technical troubleshooting".
The workshop on liquid based preparations were contributed by several institutions in Hong Kong. About 500 cases were available for examinations.
