What type of papillary carcinoma?

    Answer:

    3. Villoglandular adenocarcinoma - rare subtype of adenocarcinoma of cervix

        Cytologic features:

    •     Large cohesive sheets with nuclear crowding and loss of honeycomb pattern
    • w    True papillary fragments with central stromal core and polarised cells with smooth surface
    • w    No ‘feathered edge’
    • w    Nuclear crowding and overlapping prominent
    • w    Slight increase NC ratio and hyperchromasia
    • w    Chromatin finely granular and evenly distributed
