Discussion:

Primary malignant melanoma in female genital tract is race (~7% of all melanomas in women)

Often arises in vulva or vagina

In Pap smears, melanoma cells are loosely dispersed. They are slightly smaller than parabasal cells, relatively monotonous and contain hyperchromatic nuclei, prominent nucleoli and dusty cytoplasmic pigments
